Singapore Crypto Market Surges 55% Amid Regional Contraction
Singapore's cryptocurrency market saw significant growth in the year ended June 2026, with total crypto economic activity rising by 55.4% to $284 billion, according to Chainalysis.
This helped Singapore regain its position as the largest crypto economy in Central and Southeast Asia and Oceania (CSAO), despite a broader regional contraction of 6.8%
The growth was largely driven by institutional platform activity, which surged 94% to $60 billion, with most of it concentrated among a few market makers, over-the-counter trading firms, and institutional brokerages.
