The Solana Foundation has made two key hires to drive its push into institutional finance and payments. Rachel Conlan, formerly Binance's global chief marketing officer, joins as Chief Strategy Officer. She will lead strategy across institutional partnerships, ecosystem growth, and go-to-market efforts.

Conlan said the opportunity now is to bring Solana's value to a wider audience by making it clear and helping businesses move from interest to implementation.

Jamal Raees, who previously worked on payments at Polygon Labs, joins as General Manager of Payments. He will lead Solana's payments expansion, working directly with payment companies and enterprises.

Raees said Solana has the performance and reliability to support payments at global scale, moving beyond crypto into technology for finance.
