Solana Price Tumbles Amid Resistance Tests, But Analysts See Brighter Days Ahead
Solana's price has experienced a near-4% decline over the past 24 hours, trading at around $121.63 as of October 2. This dip follows resistance tests at the $120 level and comes after the release of U.S. inflation figures that came in below market expectations.
The Solana network is currently undergoing an upgrade called Alpenglow, which aims to reduce transaction finality from approximately 12 seconds down to sub-100 millisecond timeframes. Initial testing environment data indicates the upgrade may exceed these performance benchmarks.
Solana's decentralized application ecosystem continues expanding, with September's application revenue totaling $180 million and representing the strongest monthly performance since January. The platform also achieved an all-time DEX volume of over $3 trillion.
Investment vehicle adoption has introduced a bullish narrative for Solana, with spot exchange-traded funds in the United States accumulating $271 million in net purchases during September, marking the largest monthly inflow in 10 months.
