Solana Shatters Records with 800M Non-Vote Transactions in a Week
Solana's network has reached new heights, processing over 800 million non-vote transactions in just one week. This milestone marks a new all-time high and the second consecutive week that Solana has broken its own record.
The term 'non-vote' refers to actual user activity on the network, excluding validator consensus activity that keeps the chain running.
The catalyst behind this surge is SIMD-0286, a network upgrade implemented on July 29. This upgrade increased the maximum compute limit per block by 66%, leading to an immediate increase in daily non-vote transactions.
As a result, Solana has surpassed other major Layer 1 and Layer 2 blockchain networks in monthly transaction counts, with 5.2 billion non-vote transactions in August compared to 4.2 billion in July.
