Global Publicly Traded Companies Boost Bitcoin Holdings by $239 Million in One Week
According to data from SoSoValue, global publicly traded companies (excluding mining companies) saw a significant increase in their weekly net purchases of Bitcoin. In the week ending September 28th, these companies collectively purchased $239 million worth of BTC, up 30.4% from the previous week.
MicroStrategy, also known as Strategy, led the charge by buying 1,665 BTC at an average price of $85,681 per coin, spending a total of around $143 million. This purchase brings their total holdings to 847,666 BTC.
Other companies that made notable Bitcoin purchases include Capital B and Strive Asset Management. Capital B bought 13 BTC at $85,693.40 each, while Strive purchased 1,107 BTC at an average price of $85,396 per coin, spending around $94.5 million in total.
As a result, the total number of BTC held by global publicly traded companies (excluding mining companies) increased to 1,159,755, representing a 0.32% increase from the previous week. The combined market value of these holdings is approximately $9.674 billion, accounting for around 5.7% of Bitcoin's circulating supply.
