Solana Surges with Record Transactions and Tokenized Equity Holders
The Solana network has seen a significant surge in activity, with a record 14.2 billion non-vote transactions in the third quarter, representing a 45% increase from the previous quarter.
This growth is attributed to the increasing adoption of tokenized equities on the chain, with 1.2 million holders, up from 425,000 at the start of September.
Spot trading on decentralized exchanges (DEXs) accounts for approximately half of the total activity, with 7.1 billion transactions in the third quarter.
The SOL price has also seen a boost, reaching nearly $119 after a 18.71% monthly gain.
While the records set by the network and tokenized equity holders are promising, it's essential to note that the relationship between activity and price is not direct, and other factors may influence the SOL price in the coming months.
