Solana Triple Transaction Size in Network Upgrade
Solana is set to undergo a major network upgrade on September 9, which will increase the maximum transaction size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes.
This represents a roughly 3.3x expansion of current capacity and could enable more complicated operations within a single atomic transaction.
According to Anatoly Yakovenko, a co-founder of Solana, the upgrade will allow for the use of zero-knowledge proofs and rollup-related operations while maintaining atomic execution.
The new v1 transaction format provides the higher limit, but legacy and v0 transactions will continue to operate according to their current rules.
