Solana's Price Surge: Can it Reach $293 Record Before Year-End?
Solana's price has surged by 48% in the third quarter of 2026, outperforming major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and XRP. The price increase from around $80 in early July to $118 by September 30 puts Solana at about $122 as of October 2.
The cryptocurrency still trades 58% below its all-time high of $293, reached on January 19, 2025. To reach this previous record, Solana's market value would need to jump to around $172 billion from the current $72 billion in just three months, a 141% increase.
However, Solana's token supply continues to grow as it rewards validators with new coins, making hitting the previous record harder. Even if Solana replicates its third-quarter performance and gains another 48%, it could end 2026 around $180, still about 39% short of its previous record.
U.S. spot Solana exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have attracted $188 million in the week ending September 27, marking their best week in 10 months and extending inflows to 11 consecutive weeks. This solid demand for Solana supports the possibility of reaching $180, but it doesn't guarantee it.
