Soneium, an Ethereum layer-2 blockchain developed by Sony Group and Startale Group, has formed a partnership with DayOneDream to bring K-pop intellectual property onto blockchain infrastructure. The collaboration centers on WAVIST, DayOneDream's platform for tokenizing intellectual property, which aims to connect entertainment assets with financial infrastructure.

The partnership plans to bring tokenized K-pop intellectual property and associated revenue streams onchain, creating new financing and monetization options for rights holders and eligible participants. This move extends the trend of blockchain projects exploring tokenized rights connected to K-pop music.

DayOneDream has previously developed investment structures linked to entertainment assets through WAVIST, which has completed a lifecycle of a tokenized intellectual-property bond in May. The companies did not disclose the value or identify the artists whose IP was financed.
