South Korean Market Takes Control of XRP Liquidity
The South Korean market has taken control of liquidity in XRP, making it the leading driver globally. According to CoinGlass's market heatmap, Upbit recorded $224.22 million in daily turnover, surpassing Coinbase with its $173.38 million.
This phenomenon is due to retail investors in South Korea being prohibited from trading leveraged crypto futures, forcing them to seek volatility exclusively in the spot market where XRP has become an ideal tool for quick scalping.
The situation is also fueled by prolonged stagnation in traditional markets. The national stock index, KOSPI, is stuck in a tight range, prompting middle-aged local investors to liquidate their portfolios and move into crypto.
