Southeast Asia Blockchain Funding Soars 113% to $680 Million
Southeast Asia saw a significant jump in blockchain funding this year, reaching $680 million, a 113% increase from last year. The majority of this investment came from Crypto.com's $400 million Series D round, which accounted for nearly 60% of the total. This is a substantial rise from last year, when the region raised $319 million.
The average funding round size has also increased, reaching $27.2 million in 2026 compared to $6.9 million in 2025. Blockchain-based financial services saw the highest share of investment, raising $498 million through 19 transactions. Tokenization platforms and decentralized application development platforms also received significant investments.
Singapore remains the dominant funding hub, accounting for 82.5% of the cumulative investment in Southeast Asia. The city-state is home to 2,285 tracked entities, which constitutes about 58% of the regional total. This year's figures are still below the all-time high of $2.2 billion raised in 2022, but it's a significant increase from last year's $386 million.
