Spectra Finance Brings Fixed-Term Interest Markets to Stellar Network
Spectra Finance has launched fixed-term interest markets on the Stellar network. This new structure separates an asset's principal from its future yield for on-chain trading, making it easier to invest in and manage interest-bearing assets.
The launch supports Principal Tokens and Yield Tokens. Principal Tokens can be purchased at a discount and redeemed for the underlying asset at maturity, provided the yield source does not produce negative yield. Yield Tokens provide exposure to the asset's future variable yield.
The first supported asset is deJTRSY, a tokenized debt product linked to the Janus Henderson Anemoy Treasury Fund, which holds U.S. Treasury bills with remaining maturities of zero to six months. This product is transferable on-chain and can be used in decentralized-finance applications.
The Stellar deployment was audited by Certora, with the audit completed on May 18, 2026. The launch extends the network's infrastructure for tokenized real-world assets into interest-rate markets.
