Stablecoin Summit 2026 Scheduled Amid Legislative Uncertainty
XREX Group has announced the fourth annual Stablecoin Summit, scheduled for October 8, 2026, in Singapore. The event follows the recent U.S. Senate CLARITY Act vote, which failed to gain enough support to advance. Despite this legislative setback, the global stablecoin market has surged to nearly $300 billion as institutions increasingly adopt stablecoins for cross-border transactions and payments.
The summit, co-sponsored by Curve Finance and Bridge, will convene cryptocurrency firms, global payment networks, and financial regulators. Topics will include cross-chain interoperability, deposit tokens, central bank digital currencies, and local fiat-pegged stablecoins. Participants will explore applications in decentralized finance, supply chain finance, and artificial intelligence transactions.
Wayne Huang, co-founder and CEO of XREX Group, highlighted the need for common infrastructure and standards to connect various stablecoin efforts. 'Different participants are building for different needs, across markets and regulatory environments,' Huang stated. Key organizations attending include Visa, Stripe, Coinbase, and the European Commission.
Maximilian Roszko of Curve Finance emphasized the importance of neutral infrastructure for financial institutions. 'Issuers, institutions, and DeFi builders need to work together on these connections,' Roszko said. XREX Group operates under licenses from the Monetary Authority of Singapore and Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission.
