Stablecoins Fueling Bitcoin's Q4 Momentum with Record $310 Billion Market Cap
The stablecoin market has surpassed $310 billion in value, marking steady growth over the past two months. In just under three days, the market has added more than $1 billion in liquidity.
This increase in liquidity is a positive sign for the overall crypto market, which is also on the rise. The combined efforts of Tether and Circle are likely to contribute to this momentum, as they introduce new channels for stablecoin liquidity into the Bitcoin ecosystem.
Tether's re-introduction of USDT to the Bitcoin network via its partnership with Utexo could open up another channel for stablecoin liquidity. Meanwhile, Circle is launching cirBTC, a 1:1 wrapped BTC token that will enable institutions to use BTC in lending, borrowing, and settlement without unwinding their underlying exposure.
The growth of stablecoins like USDC, which gained $881 million over 90 days, could lead to deeper DeFi flows in Q4. If this trend persists, it may create demand for Bitcoin and drive momentum in the fourth quarter.
