Stand With Crypto Endorses Candidates Ahead of US Congress Midterm Elections

Coinbase's advocacy group Stand With Crypto has announced its picks for US Congress ahead of the 2026 midterms. The organization, launched in 2023 to promote 'clear, common-sense regulations' for the crypto industry, is supporting candidates running for Senate seats in Ohio, Iowa, and New Hampshire.

The endorsed Senate candidates include Republican Jon Husted in Ohio, who is defending his seat against Democrat Sherrod Brown. In addition to Husted, Stand With Crypto has also endorsed Ashley Hinson in Iowa and Chris Pappas in New Hampshire.

In the House of Representatives, the group has endorsed several candidates, including Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks in Iowa and Democrat Shomari Figures in Alabama.

The endorsements come as many polls show Democrats favored to regain control of the House and Senate in 2027. A change in majority control could impact how lawmakers address bills like the Digital Asset Market Clarity (CLARITY) Act, which failed to pass in the Republican-controlled Senate earlier this month after passing the House with bipartisan support in 2025.
