Stand With Crypto Endorses Key US Congressional Candidates Ahead of Midterms

Crypto advocacy group Stand With Crypto has announced its picks for the US Congress ahead of the midterms. The organization, launched by Coinbase in 2023, is backing several candidates running for Senate seats in Ohio, Iowa, and New Hampshire.

Among those endorsed are Republican Jon Husted in Ohio, who is defending his seat against Democrat Sherrod Brown. Husted has received significant funding from the crypto industry, including $82 million from the Fairshake PAC, a group backed by Coinbase, Ripple Labs, and Andreessen Horowitz.

The group has also endorsed several House of Representatives candidates, including Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks in Iowa and Democrat Shomari Figures in Alabama. Stand With Crypto has warned that lawmakers who do not support bills like the Digital Asset Market Clarity (CLARITY) Act could face consequences.
