Stand With Crypto Shifts Focus to Pro-Crypto Candidates After Senate Setback
The digital asset advocacy group Stand With Crypto is redirecting its efforts after federal crypto legislation stalled in the Senate. The group, backed by Coinbase, plans to focus on supporting candidates who are favorable to digital asset regulation.
Following the September 15th Senate vote against the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, Stand With Crypto updated its candidate scorecard and expanded endorsements to include Republican Sen. Jon Husted in Ohio, Ashley Hinson in Iowa, and Chris Pappas in New Hampshire.
The group's executive director Mason Lynaugh stated that the organization's over three million advocates will now focus on electing 'pro-crypto champions' who can continue pushing for clearer rules in the industry.
Stand With Crypto is also increasing its spending in several House contests, particularly those where candidates have shown support for the Clarity Act.
