Standard Chartered Researcher Sees Bright Future for Uniswap, Aave, Morpho, and Arbitrum
Standard Chartered's head of digital assets research, Geoffrey Kendrick, is predicting a bright future for four altcoins: Uniswap, Aave, Morpho, and Arbitrum. According to Kendrick, these tokens will capture a large share of the money that follows traditional finance as it moves on-chain.
Kendrick set a year-end target of $6.50 on Uniswap (UNI) in June, when it traded below $3, but now believes $100 by 2030 may be too low. He cites the fee switch that Uniswap turned on last December, which uses trading fees to buy back and burn tokens, as a key factor in its potential growth.
Aave (AAVE) was indirectly affected by a $300 million exploit linked to Kelp in April, but Kendrick sees this as an opportunity for the community to come together and tighten risk settings. He believes Aave is the leader in 'on-chain banking' and that it could reach $3,500 by 2030, despite its current price of around $170.
Morpho, on the other hand, is a platform for asset managers through its vault product. Kendrick expects it to win the on-chain asset management space over the medium term, with a target price of $60 by 2030.
Arbitrum (ARB) is Kendrick's biggest call, with a target price of $10 by 2030. He believes that if four or five more firms copy Robinhood's model, which supplies 10% of net revenue to Arbitrum, its monthly revenue could reach $40 million to $50 million within two years.
