Strategy Aims to Be Nvidia of Digital Assets with Record-Holding Bitcoin Position
Strategy CEO Phong Le wants investors to think about his company like Nvidia in traditional finance. By this, he means that Strategy's dominant position in digital assets, particularly Bitcoin, makes it a leader that competitors struggle to follow.
The firm has accumulated approximately 845,000 BTC as of mid-2026, representing more than 4% of Bitcoin's total supply. This concentration far surpasses any other publicly traded company, according to Le.
Le's tenure at Strategy spans back to 2015 when he joined as CFO and later served as COO. He has continued the corporate Bitcoin treasury model pioneered by executive chairman Michael Saylor starting in 2020, pushing it further and faster since taking over.
Strategy funds its Bitcoin accumulation through preferred share products, such as STRC, and occasionally sells small amounts of BTC for liquidity management purposes, according to Le. He has stated that the company remains comfortable with Bitcoin prices as low as $8,000 to $10,000.
