Strategy Builds Bulletproof Balance Sheet Amid Market Fluctuations
Strategy, a company known for its Bitcoin holdings, has made significant moves to strengthen its balance sheet. In an interview with Bloomberg, CEO Phong Le stated that they do not make decisions based on the specific price of Bitcoin. Over the past two months, despite not purchasing any new Bitcoin, Strategy has increased its US dollar reserves by 34% and now holds $7.2 billion in assets.
This includes $6.5 billion in Bitcoin and $700 million in US dollar reserves, effectively reducing their net debt from around $700 million to zero. By doing so, they have increased their equity value, making selling MSTR and buying Bitcoin more profitable. According to Le, this has given them a 'bulletproof' balance sheet, essentially a 'fortress' balance sheet.
Strategy had previously increased its Bitcoin holdings again last week after a two-month interval. The company's moves demonstrate a focus on building a strong financial foundation, allowing them to navigate market fluctuations more effectively.
