Strategy Buys 950 BTC for $75.7M Amid Corporate Bitcoin Buying Trend

Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy, has made its largest Bitcoin purchase in nearly three weeks. Between September 14 and September 20, the company acquired 950 BTC worth approximately $75.7 million at an average price of $79,670 per coin.

This purchase brings Strategy's total stash to a staggering 846,000 BTC, making up over 4% of Bitcoin's hard-capped 21 million supply.

Strategy funded the entire purchase from its existing USD cash reserves, which stood at $1.05 billion as of September 20. The company also maintains a broader USD reserve of $5.04 billion.

The firm's total cost basis across all 846,000 BTC sits at roughly $63.8 billion, with an average acquisition price of around $75,416 per coin. With Bitcoin trading near $85,000 at the time of the purchase, Strategy is sitting on unrealized gains of approximately $8.1 billion.
