Strategy Extends Unbroken Bitcoin Buying Streak to 12 Weeks
Strategy, a company that accumulates Bitcoin, has signaled its intention to make another purchase for the 12th consecutive week. This move comes despite ongoing market turbulence and severe conditions that began with October's flash crash. Strategy's last acquisition was on February 9, when it bought 1,142 Bitcoin for over $90 million.
This transaction brought Strategy's total Bitcoin holdings to 714,644 BTC, worth approximately $49.3 billion at current market prices. The company has maintained its buying strategy throughout the downturn, contradicting earlier analyst predictions that it would halt accumulation or liquidate holdings during a broad market decline.
Standard Chartered Bank warned in September 2025 that several leading crypto treasury companies saw their multiple on net asset value (mNAV) fall below 1. Strategy's own mNAV currently sits at 0.90, below the critical threshold of 1.0. The company reported a $12.4 billion Q4 loss earlier in February, triggering a 17% stock price drop.
