Strategy Posts Weak Q2 Earnings Amid Prediction Market Growth
Strategy reported an $8.33 billion operating loss in Q2 2026 due to an $8.32 billion unrealized loss on its Bitcoin holdings, which declined during the period.
The company's net loss was $8.22 billion, or $24.45 per diluted share, with a net loss attributable to common stockholders of $8.62 billion after accounting for preferred stock dividends.
Strategy CEO and President Phong Le said the company strengthened its balance sheet while navigating the Bitcoin price decline, increasing its Bitcoin holdings by 11% to approximately 846,000 BTC during Q2.
Coinbase also reported weaker Q2 earnings, with revenue declining to $1.2 billion, a 14% QoQ decrease, and posting a net loss of $359 million, or $1.36 per share.
