Strategy Raises $2B, Creates $1.59B Cash Pool Amid Financing Pressures
Strategy Inc., formerly known as MicroStrategy, has bolstered its financial flexibility by creating a new 'USD Cash' liquidity pool.
The company sold approximately 18.26 million shares of its Class A common stock between August 17 and 23, raising around $2 billion in net proceeds through an at-the-market offering.
The majority of the capital, around $1.59 billion, went into the new USD Cash pool, which can be used for various purposes such as buying more Bitcoin or repaying convertible notes.
Strategy also topped up its existing USD Reserve by $300 million and used $136.4 million to repurchase 1.43 million shares of its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock, ticker STRC.
