Strategy Scoops Up Another 24,869 Bitcoin in $2 Billion Buying Spree

Strategy, a Nasdaq-listed firm and owner of MicroStrategy, has made another massive Bitcoin purchase. The company acquired 24,869 BTC at an average price of $80,985, bringing its total holdings to 843,738 coins as of May 17.

The purchase was funded through at-the-market offerings between May 11 and May 17, with Strategy selling 19.95 million STRC shares for $1.95 billion in net proceeds and offloading 430,344 MSTR shares for another $83.7 million.

This acquisition marks the largest since April 20, when Strategy bought 34,164 coins. The company's total holdings now sit at an aggregate cost of $63.87 billion, averaging $75,700 per coin.

Executive Chairman Michael Saylor confirmed the buy on X, stating that the firm has achieved a 12.6% BTC yield year to date.
