Strategy Sets Vote on Daily Dividend Payments for Preferred Stocks
Strategy, an investment company focused on Bitcoin and preferred securities, has scheduled a special shareholder meeting for October 28 to vote on daily dividend payments for four U.S.-listed preferred stocks. The proposal would replace the current quarterly or semi-monthly schedules with daily record dates, allowing for more frequent distributions.
The proposed amendment covers STRF, STRC, STRK, and STRD, which are currently paid out quarterly or semi-monthly. However, if approved, STRC would begin daily dividends on November 2, while the other three securities would follow in January 2027. The proposal aims to reduce reinvestment delays and improve liquidity, trading efficiency, and price stability.
Strategy claims that more frequent payments could increase demand for its preferred securities and support its financing strategy. However, the outcomes are described as forward-looking company expectations rather than confirmed results.
