Strategy, the company behind the MSTR stock, saw a significant boost in its share price following the acquisition of 334 Bitcoin (BTC). This purchase increased the firm's total Bitcoin holdings to an impressive 848,000 BTC, marking a new milestone. On October 5, the company's stock price climbed by 2.44%, reaching a high of $164.80 before facing resistance in the $164 to $164.80 range.
The company also reported a substantial gain of $20.91 billion in digital assets for the third quarter, highlighting its strong performance in the crypto market. Additionally, Strategy repurchased approximately $176.3 million of its preferred stock, STRC, across two reporting periods. The stock remained volatile but managed to recover from lower levels, indicating strong buyer interest.
Strategy's financial maneuvers included using $13 million in cash to purchase the 334 BTC and allocating $154.1 million for STRC stock repurchases. The company's USD Reserve stood at $4.88 billion as of October 4, with $833.4 million in USD cash. Despite the positive developments, the stock faced resistance at the $164.80 mark, with immediate support around $163.00. The company's digital asset carrying value was reported at $70.82 billion as of September 30, with a net deferred tax liability of $1.88 billion tied to its Bitcoin holdings and activity.
