Strive Adds 2000 Bitcoin to Holdings in $169 Million Deal
Strive Asset Management, led by CEO Matt Cole, has completed a significant Bitcoin acquisition, purchasing 2,000 BTC for a total of $169 million. The transaction, confirmed by Cole himself, took place last week at an average price of $84,422 per Bitcoin. This move represents Strive’s third-largest purchase in history and the second-largest of 2026, according to on-chain data.
With this addition, Strive’s total Bitcoin holdings now stand at 29,462 BTC, accumulated at an average cost ranging between $90,400 and $90,700 per unit. The company’s latest acquisition surpasses the previous week’s record but falls just short of its annual high of 2,500 BTC acquired for $185.2 million between late May and early June. Strive’s strategy contrasts with that of Strategy, the largest corporate Bitcoin holder, which slowed its purchases to just 334 BTC in its most recent transaction.
The funding for this acquisition came largely from SATA, with warrants generating $56.7 million. Strive’s aggressive accumulation strategy highlights its commitment to Bitcoin, even as some of its peers have reduced their pace of acquisitions.
