Sui Bolsters African Payment Reach Through Daya Partnership

Share

Sui has strengthened its position in Africa's payment landscape through a partnership with Daya. The collaboration enables gasless stablecoin transactions for businesses using the Daya payments network, addressing growing demand for faster cross-border transactions and treasury management solutions.

The integration of Sui as Daya's settlement infrastructure supports low-cost cross-border payments for businesses across Africa, leveraging the gasless stablecoin protocol launched in May. According to Adeniyi Abiodun, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Mysten Labs, gasless stablecoin transfers remove a major barrier in blockchain payments, enabling 'fast, reliable, and global' financial products.

The partnership marks another step in Sui's broader push into payment infrastructure, positioning the network as a settlement layer for businesses seeking low-cost and scalable payment solutions. With $470 million in stablecoin market capitalization on its platform, Sui is well-positioned to capitalize on growing demand for stablecoins in Africa's payments landscape.
