Sunday Pump Monday Dump Pattern Returns as BTC, ETH, SOL Show Matching Sell Signals
Markets may be in for a correction as the 'Sunday pump, Monday dump' pattern returns to focus. Over the past month, Bitcoin's Sunday moves have often reversed at the start of the week, with Sunday rallies followed by pullbacks and Sunday declines followed by rebounds. According to market analyst Ali Charts, who raised the topic on X, Bitcoin's Sunday moves have indeed reversed on Monday in the past month.
The analyst pointed out that the TD Sequential indicator has flashed a sell signal on Bitcoin's four-hour chart, which is a technical warning that has been followed by price corrections in the past. In fact, each of the last four similar signals was followed by a price correction, with the analyst noting that the signal appeared while Bitcoin traded higher on the day.
The sell signal and the Sunday pump Monday dump pattern lead to the same outcome: a pullback at the start of the week. The analyst extended the signal to other major assets, including Ethereum and Solana, which also show matching TD Sequential sell signals. Ethereum's last two signals were followed by declines of 5.40% and 3.31%, while Solana's last three comparable signals preceded corrections of 2.44%, 5.76%, and 5.30%.
