Supercycle Finance to Sell Bitcoin Holdings to Beat Market Moves

Supercycle Finance, a new entrant to the space, is taking a different approach to bitcoin treasuries. Unlike most companies, which follow a buy-and-hold strategy, Supercycle plans to sell its bitcoin holdings when prices are high. This approach, according to CEO Michael Terpin, is designed to outperform bitcoin by buying at the low end of the cycle and selling at the top.

Supercycle's treasury model is based on the 'four seasons' philosophy, which Terpin espouses in his book 'Bitcoin Supercycle.' The company will buy bitcoin when the market is down, sell holdings when prices are high, and hold onto U.S. Treasuries and other interest-bearing assets in between. This approach is a departure from the strategy of companies like Strategy, which has nearly $72 billion worth of BTC.

Supercycle has acquired Presearch, a recently shuttered privacy-focused search platform, and plans to acquire distressed tokenized projects. The deal includes Presearch's peer-to-peer compute platform Hypavolt, and is part of a broader plan to acquire and relaunch distressed token ecosystems.
