t54.ai Adds Verifiable Intent Support to x402 Facilitator Platform
t54.ai, a company that develops AI-based payment infrastructure for XRPL, has added support for Mastercard's Verifiable Intent standard to its x402 Facilitator platform. This means developers can now prove who authorized a payment, under what limits, and for which purchase, before settlement.
The Verifiable Intent standard is a framework for AI agents to make transactions on behalf of users, ensuring that the user has given explicit permission for the transaction. t54.ai's implementation uses its Trustline risk assessment platform to screen payments before they are settled.
This development comes after Mastercard announced its Agent Pay for Machines (AP4M) service in June, which allows organizations to set rules and limits for AI agent transactions. The AP4M service is designed to support the Verifiable Intent standard and provides a framework for AI agents to make decisions on behalf of users.
t54.ai's x402 Facilitator platform supports the XRPL ledger and allows developers to create decentralized applications that can process payments using XRP or USDC. The addition of Verifiable Intent support to the x402 Facilitator platform means that developers can now build applications that meet the requirements of Mastercard's AP4M service.
