Take-Two Tied to GTA VI Currency Proposal on SEC Docket
Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, has been linked to two public-comment PDFs on a US Securities and Exchange Commission docket that describe a proposed Grand Theft Auto VI currency called Sharkbux.
The documents, dated August 18 and August 24, display Take-Two branding but lack corporate authorization. They propose a restricted in-game currency and a possible blockchain design using Solana's SPL-token architecture.
However, the trail of evidence stops short of tying the wallet or token to GTA VI, Sharkbux, Take-Two, or Rockstar. The named Solana wallet holds 600,000 units of a newly created TAKE2 token, but this could be an attempt to promote a memecoin.
