Tare Secures $13M to Bring Private Credit onto Blockchain
Tare, a financial technology firm, has secured $13.25 million in seed funding to transition private credit markets onto distributed ledger technology.
The round was led by venture capital firm Blockchain Capital, with contributions from institutional entities such as Apollo Global Management and Janus Henderson, as well as individual industry executives like Aave founder Stani Kulechov and Tether co-founder Phil Potter.
Tare's architecture aims to resolve communication inefficiencies between debt originators and end buyers by integrating three modular components: an underwriting engine that records standardized data on-chain, a continuous securitization engine, and an institutional analytics dashboard for secondary portfolio acquisitions.
The network operates on the Avalanche blockchain, selected for its throughput capabilities and support for dedicated subnets. The goal is to eliminate operational intermediaries to reduce final borrowing costs.
