Telangana Kidnapping Linked to Cryptocurrency Dispute

In the state of Telangana, India, a dispute over cryptocurrency investments led to a kidnapping. According to DSP K Purushotham Reddy, seven persons were arrested for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting Maruthi, a resident of Chalgal village.

The accused took Maruthi to an unidentified location, where they threatened him with a knife and pressured him to pay money and register his house in their favour. The victim's wife, Lavanya, lodged a police complaint after the incident.

During the investigation, police found that the kidnapping was linked to a dispute over cryptocurrency investments and financial transactions. Anil Rao, Vamsi Krishna, Nikhil, Deekshith, Rehman, Sai, and Jagadeesh were arrested near the Jagtial bypass and remanded to judicial custody.
