Tesla's Bitcoin stash is nearing the $1 billion mark without any action from the company. As of September, the electric vehicle maker's 11,509 BTC holding had appreciated to around $915 million after Bitcoin's price surge.

The stake has been unchanged since Tesla sold $936 million worth of Bitcoin in the second quarter of 2022 and has not moved a single coin since then.

According to on-chain data from Arkham Intelligence, Tesla's wallet activity shows zero transactions, even as the dollar value of the holdings swings with Bitcoin's price. The company's SEC filings confirm that the figure remains at 11,509 BTC, which was also reported in Q2 2026 and December 31, 2025.

The recovery in Bitcoin's price since the summer low has brought Tesla's position close to the ten-figure mark. In September, a separate snapshot from Arkham put the value at approximately $994.9 million, just $5.1 million short of the milestone when Bitcoin briefly traded above $86,000.
