Tether, Pave Bank, and GFTN have launched a five-year educational exchange program between Georgia and Singapore. The program, called the Georgia-Singapore Fintech Scholars Programme, will send selected undergraduates from Tbilisi State University to study fintech at Singapore Management University for a semester starting in January 2027.

The program is an academic and talent-development commitment, with no immediate product launch or token issuance. The three partner organizations - Tether, Pave Bank, and GFTN - will jointly select the scholars through a selection process.

Tether, the world's largest stablecoin issuer, is funding the scholarships as part of its strategy to diversify beyond stablecoin issuance. Pave Bank, a digital-native bank with a Georgian banking license, is also involved in the program. GFTN will be responsible for scholar selection and program administration.
