Teucrium Commodity Trust Tops Share Threshold
The Teucrium Commodity Trust, which offers an exchange-traded fund (ETF) for Bitcoin and carbon credits, has increased its outstanding shares above a crucial threshold. According to a recent Securities and Exchange Commission filing, the number of outstanding shares has risen above 50,000, following new creation orders.
The trust's sponsor, Teucrium Trading, LLC, had previously rejected redemption orders that would have brought the fund's outstanding shares below this minimum threshold. As of August 31, the sponsor had been rejecting such orders to maintain a minimum of five baskets of 10,000 shares each.
With the increase in outstanding shares, the trust is no longer rejecting redemption orders on this basis. However, it may again reject such orders if the number of outstanding shares returns to the minimum threshold or for other reasons outlined in the fund's prospectus.
