Crypto Technicals Outshine S&P 500 Constituents in Breadth Showdown

Share

Scott Melker highlighted that the S&P 500 is near record highs but has a majority of its constituents trading below their 200-day moving averages, indicating weak breadth in traditional markets.

By contrast, 88 of the top 100 cryptocurrencies are above their MAs, suggesting healthier crypto technicals and stronger market breadth for tokens that could support token performance and adoption despite many remaining below all-time highs.

This disparity has led Melker to argue that crypto's technical position looks healthier even though many major tokens are still well below their all-time highs.
