Tezos Defies Convention with 12 Years of Evolution
Tezos, launched in 2014 and officially live since 2018, is marking its 12th anniversary of its whitepaper on September 2, 2026. The blockchain has consistently evolved through its on-chain governance model, enabling upgrades without network splits.
This adaptability has positioned Tezos as one of the few blockchains capable of straddling the line between honoring core decentralized principles and addressing modern challenges like scalability and interoperability.
Tezos developers have avoided excessive centralization, a criticism often leveled at emerging blockchains with rapid transaction speeds. Instead, scaling solutions like enshrined rollups and data availability layers have allowed Tezos to ramp up throughput without sacrificing decentralization.
