Tokenization Needs Non-Crypto Buyers to Hit Mainstream
Crypto tokenization's future hinges on attracting non-crypto buyers, according to Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo. At the Avalanche Summit in New York City, Domingo emphasized that tokenization can only scale if it attracts investors who have never touched a hardware wallet.
Securitize, which went public on the NYSE on July 2, 2026, trading under the ticker SECZ after completing a SPAC merger with Cantor Equity Partners II valued at $1.25 billion, has tokenized its own common shares on Avalanche and Solana, worth between $266 million and $295 million.
The firm's tokenized assets under management have grown sharply, reaching $5 billion in the third quarter of 2026, up from just over $4 billion earlier in the year. Key clients like BlackRock and Apollo are driving this growth through Securitize's infrastructure.
