Tokenized Assets Surge May Send Chainlink Soaring Past $200
Standard Chartered's global head of digital asset research, Geoff Kendrick, predicts that tokenized real-world assets (RWA) will reach $4 trillion by the end of 2028. This growth in tokenized assets is expected to increase demand for external data on-chain, which may boost Chainlink's fee generation and push its LINK token price to $200 by the end of 2030.
Kendrick also forecasts a 37-fold rise in tokenized and crypto-native assets deployed in decentralized finance (DeFi), reaching $2.7 trillion by 2030.
According to Kendrick, these assets will require trusted data, interoperability between networks, privacy-preserving compliance, and integrations with existing financial systems, capabilities that Chainlink is uniquely equipped to provide.
