Tokenized Finance Takes Center Stage at London Blockchain Finance Summit
The London Blockchain Finance Summit highlighted the growing adoption of tokenized finance, which has moved from pilot to production. The event brought together experts in blockchain technology, financial institutions, and regulators to discuss real-world implementation and practical applications of tokenization.
Tokenized finance focuses on improving liquidity and operational efficiency for real-world assets such as funds, bonds, money market funds, equities, commodities, and collateral. Stablecoins were also discussed as a programmable settlement layer for central banks.
Regulatory uncertainty was cited as one of the main barriers to mass adoption, with institutions needing confidence before deploying capital at scale. The British Standards Institution's working group on tokenization aims to create standards and interoperability in tokenization.
