TRON Network Activity Grows While TRX ETF Demand Lags
TRON’s network has shown a consistent rise in activity levels since early September, suggesting a shift from short-term spikes to sustained growth. The platform now supports over 4 million active accounts daily, with monthly averages reaching around 4.41 million users. By mid-September, user activity peaked at 4.84 million but later dropped below 4 million by the month’s end. This stable participation is crucial for supporting transactions, stablecoin transfers, and payment processing, laying a strong foundation for TRX’s utility.
Despite the on-chain momentum, institutional demand for TRX remains weak. The Canary Staked TRX ETF (TRXS), launched on Cboe in September, has seen minimal interest. The only net inflow occurred on September 15th, with $491,060 added, leaving total net assets at $50.23 million. Canary Capital’s CEO, Steven McClurg, highlighted TRON’s growing presence in Asia and developing regions as the basis for the ETF, but investor interest has yet to match this potential.
While institutional demand lags, Binance data reveals a surge in TRX exchange inflows. On October 1st, net inflows hit $79.8 million, the highest since August 20th. However, by October 3rd, cumulative net flow decreased slightly to $35.4 million, with TRX’s price falling by 0.79%. This rise in exchange supply could pose risks, though long-term trends remain uncertain.
