TRON Surpasses $30 Trillion in Lifetime Volume Amid Concerns Over Compliance
TRON has reached an impressive milestone of $30 trillion in lifetime transaction volume, fueled by its heavy reliance on USDT transfers. This achievement underscores how deeply TRON's growth is tied to dollar-denominated transactions.
The network now hosts more than $94 billion of Tether's USDT, the largest supply on any blockchain, according to TRON DAO. In 2026 alone, TRON has processed over $6 trillion in USDT transfers, averaging around $25 billion per day, as reported by Token Terminal data.
While this growth is significant, it also raises concerns about compliance and illicit activity. TRM Labs estimated that TRON handled more than $26 billion of the $45 billion in illicit crypto volume identified in 2024, highlighting the need for stricter enforcement measures.
To address these issues, TRON has established its T3 Financial Crime Unit with TRM Labs, which has frozen over $450 million in illicit assets by May 2026. The unit works closely with authorities across 23 jurisdictions to combat various forms of financial crime.
