Trump Family Crypto Deal Leaves Investors Reeling with Over 90% Loss

Share

Digital payment company ALT5 Sigma has seen its market value plummet from over $1 billion to less than $60 million, after partnering with World Liberty Financial, a crypto platform associated with the Trump family. The partnership, which saw ALT5 spend $750 million on WLFI tokens issued by World Liberty, was announced last summer.

According to Bloomberg, this deal brought in over $500 million in revenue for the Trump family, with World Liberty contributing more than $550 million to President Trump's crypto earnings of over $1.4 billion last year.

The value of the purchased tokens has dropped from 20 cents each to around 6 cents, resulting in losses of over 90% for investors. Despite this, spokespeople for Trump's two sons stated that they 'were not involved in any ALT5 affairs.'
