Trump Family's Cryptocurrency Fortune Under Fire as Warren Accuses Him of Prioritizing Profits
Senator Elizabeth Warren has accused President Donald Trump of prioritizing his own financial interests over those of the American people. According to Warren, the Trump family 'made billions' from cryptocurrency ventures, including World Liberty Financial (WLFI) and the Official Trump (CRYPTO: TRUMP) memecoin.
Warren pointed out that World Liberty Trust Co. secured conditional approval for a national trust bank charter, giving Trump a 'new way to profit.' This move has been criticized for potentially allowing the Trump family to further their financial interests.
Warren's comments come after the Trump family's 2025 financial disclosure revealed that they earned over $1.4 billion from cryptocurrency ventures, including more than $520 million from World Liberty Financial token sales and over $635 million in royalties from the TRUMP memecoin.
The White House has rejected conflict-of-interest allegations, stating that the banking charter in question will ensure 'permanent regulatory supervision' that will outlast the current Trump administration.
