Trump Meme Coin Gala Dinner: Will Holders Cash Out Again?
The Official Trump (TRUMP) meme coin has announced its latest event, a gala dinner with President Donald Trump for its top 185 holders. The event takes place on November 22 at Trump National in Washington, D.C.
Eligibility is based on a time-weighted leaderboard that went live on September 30, and the top 29 holders will also receive a VIP reception with Trump and one legend. Those who hold the top four spots will even receive 18K gold Trump watches as part of their bonus.
Holders must register separately for the dinner, but the project has ruled out any private meetings with the President. This is not the first time the project has hosted a similar gathering, in May 2025, the top 220 holders were invited to a dinner with Trump at his golf club near Washington, D.C.
TRUMP has seen modest gains recently, but its longer-term performance has been less impressive. The token is currently down 9% over the past month and 55% year-to-date. It's unclear whether this event will reverse that trend or if holders will cash out like they did after previous events.
The project uses a leaderboard to reward wallets that hold more tokens for longer, giving buyers a reason to enter early. However, VIP holders who drop below their snapshot balance before November 22 may lose their bonuses, which could impact the token's price in the coming weeks.
