$TRUMP Meme Coin Investors Slam Trump's Token Sales as Greedy Cash Grabs
Crypto natives and young investors are increasingly viewing President Donald Trump's involvement in cryptocurrency with skepticism. According to a focus group organized by the Bulwark Focus Group podcast, participants slammed Trump's token sales as 'cash grabs' aimed at profiting from his followers.
One participant, David from South Carolina, stated, 'Why does he need to keep doing it? He's literally a billionaire. Like, how much more money does he need?' Another participant described the $TRUMP meme coin as a 'cash grab' designed to prey on crypto-savvy followers.
Trump's reputation among young investors has taken a hit, with his popularity shrinking from 43% in 2024 to 19% according to a recent Fox News poll. This sentiment is also shared by some investors in Trump's own memecoin and crypto companies.
Morten Christensen, an investor with a sizable $TRUMP token holding, noted that the president's reputation had suffered since his first meme coin event in May 2025. He observed a 'big shift' in online reactions to his trip this year, which were negative compared to those received at the first event.
