Trump Returns from Camp David Amid Iran War Evaluation
President Donald Trump cut his Camp David stay short by a full day when he returned to Washington, D.C. around 8 p.m. ET on September 19, 2026.
No official explanation was given for the early return of President Trump.
Hours before Trump's helicopter touched down, Iran's Supreme National Security Council secretary Mohsen Rezaei disclosed that Tehran had transmitted seven conditions to Washington through Qatari mediators.
The conditions represent Iran's opening framework for negotiating an end to the ongoing war. Among the demands: a full cessation of hostilities, the release of Iranian funds that remain frozen under US sanctions, and the lifting of the American naval blockade.
